This is the new Eyeshadow Primer Potion From Urban Decay Cosmetics. Its an eyeshadow base and it works wonders. Makes the eyeshadow look better and stay on. It also comes in a awsome looking potion bottle. Its a little pricey but if you are looking for a cool/unique diffrent gift get this. B+

I heard about this stuff on thefashionspot and decided to try it out. Everytime I visited sephora they told me the shipments sell out within days, I thought it stuff must be the best new makeup must have. After finally getting a tube I was sadly underwhelmed. While it does keep eyeshadow from creasing, the eyeshadow sticks to the skin so well that it's hard to blend it. The texture is also a little flaky so it doesn't make eyeshadow look more vibrant like my other primer which keeps the eyeshadow in place just as well.While it does keep your eyeshadow crease-less all day, whats the point if it doesn't look as good? I did still keep the primer potion to use with my creme eyeshadows since my regular primer doesnt work well with creme, but I wouldnt recommend this primer to use with powder which is what I usually use.

There are many different types of cosmetics that I do not wear because I have extremely oily skin.I'll put a certain makeup on and within a matter of hours it slides/melts right off my face into a blurry mess.I wanted to start wearing eyeshadow this fall and went to my local Ulta cosmetics store.I explained my oily skin dilemma (yes, even on my eyelids) to the lady at the cosmetic counter and she told me to try the Urban Decay Primer Potion.I love it!I put eyeshowdow on in the morning and its still on by the time I get home 9-10 hrs later!There's still a little bit of creasing for me towards the end of the day because my skin is oily, but just a little dab with a napkin on each eyelid sops up the oil and leaves the eyeshadow.This stuff is worth it and something I will continue to buy for the rest of my life.I'm so impressed that I think I'll try some other Urban Decay products!

To be honest, I only bought this because in order to qualify for free shipping from Sephora, I needed to spend an additional $15. My sister recommended this because she had read really good reviews for it on makeup websites/forums so I bought it.



The main problem with my eyeshadow isn't that it doesn't stay on for a long time (although it is part of the problem). The problem is that in general, eyeshadow doesn't show up on my eyelids unless it's a very dark color. I could apply tons of eyeshadow to my lids and you couldn't tell that I had anything on. With the primer potion on, eyeshadow is more visible on my eyelids. Not only that, but it also helps neutralize my eyelid color so that if I want to put on more than one shade, it doesn't all blend together and look like one color. And of course, it helps to keep eyeshadow (and eyeliner!) on longer.



The reason for the 4 stars? Even if I rub the primer potion on and blend completely, for some reason I still find some of it dried up on the corners of my eyes. Other than that, it does what it's supposed to do and I'm happy with it.

The texture is light with sheer cream color. The application tip is like those you see in tube glosses. I have to blend a bit with my finger afterwards to make it even but it's no big deal. The eyelids feel a little bit tighter but not sticky and the flesh color of the lid appears more even. Then I did the the smokey eyes to test it out...silver, gun metal gray and black. The colors stick to the eye lids almost instantly so you have to work harder to blend or you could just dab the brush to build up intensity. 8 hours later, the colors fade only a little and there is absolutely no crease and no oily shine either. Now I use it as primer for my undereye circles before I put on concealer also...no flaking no fading. Definitely a keeper.

I have tried other brands of eyeshadow primer and none have really worked.It took me a while before I finally caved and bought this Urban Decay primer because I thought it was a tad pricey.Well, it is worth every penny!My eyeshadow stays put from the time I put it on until the time I wash it off.

No your seven shade eyeshadow blend will not stay absolutely perfect for 12 hours straight.



But this product will make your eyeshadow last considerably longer, and look MUCH more vibrant than it ever has.



I think the price is fine, it's the same as most high end eyeshadows, & you get plenty to use!



I use it on BARE SKIN and let dry for a good 5 minutes before adding shadow & voila, even my greasy creases hold my shadow tight. I love this.

Like some others, I also have oily eyelids. Unlike others, I didn't find the price to be an obstacle. When you consider the department store brands, this is a bargain! Just as a tip to others, you need to apply about half of what you'd think. At first, it feels like you don't have enough on, but keep playing with it. I just spent 3 days in 90 degree weather and my eye shadow and gel-liner stayed on perfectly! I hope this is one item that will be out for years and years and years!!!!

Despite oily skin and busy days, with the potion primer my eye makeup stays intact from 8am to 8pm and then some.Try it on your eyebrows, too, to let your brow powder and pencil have incredible staying power.You can't NOT use this.
