We were supposed to run out decades ago but magically there always seems to be plenty of oil to meet demand.

Sounds like the IMF is selling Gold to support the US Dollar. The Fact that China is buying...would also help the Yuan and China in the future as according to news media, would be a move up in China's Gold Supply.

China is attached to the US dollar so it would also be in their best interest to Shelter the dollar.

I would agree with you if voting actual matters but there has not been an election where votes have elected a president is the last 50 years and probably many more preceding.

China has already stated gold is too high so they may not buy it also they want the dollar to rise since they own so many. The only hope for gold is that people get really scared and buy on fear...but the fear is diminishing now. yes oil will go up...along with the dollar. IMO

Keep eye on china if they buy the remaining 141 tons of gold IMF put on market this year gold will clime to 1500+ by end of year and oil over 150+ not because of demand but because diminishing value of $.

The fed is driving down the dollar by printing more of it so the price of gold will go up and their friends at the IMF can sell it at a high price to Asia. After the sale the dollar goes back up and gold down. Dont let the gold salesmen fool you.

@shussein82 As you can see by the date i printed that statement 2 months ago and that is what happened. Since then things have only gotten worse for gold.

1- Obama started a fight with the banks so they will not push the dollar down for him.

2- the fed raised rates to the banks right after inflation was detected signaling the fed will not allow hyperinflation and will not print more money (for now).

These two actions are in sequence and calculated to drive the dollar up.
