The customer has to get 2 - 3 quotes.
And the cheapest goes to the builder.
The customer has an excess of £50 approx.
and a cheque for the other amount goes to the builder from the insurance.
On rare occasions the customer gets a cheque to pay the builder
On none emergency insurance claims,The insurance company sends out someone to check the damage before authorised
