I bought this at Michaels Crafts a couple of weeks ago when I looking for something new to do for my summer projects.

This was a great puzzle to put together and with a little glue and paint, I had nice furniture for the dollhouse I got at the same time.

But as to the price, like I said that bought this at Michael's. I also got it for less than the price listed. I only ended up paying $4.99 plus tax. So if anyone is interested in buying this. I would look at your local craft store first. You might find it there.

I gave this as a gift for a 10 yr old and while she needed some help to put the set together and also gluing it, she had lots of fun painting it by herself.

It allows for very creative design if you provide the basic paint colors andgive the child a color wheel(just google color wheel and you can print one out free) that shows how to mixsecondary colors. Also gold, silver, and copper metallic paint or paint pens are a great add on. ....be sure to buy at least one decent small detail brush so they can add flowers or other small details.

This set a bit small for the 1/12 dollhouse but is the perfect size for the older metal dollhouse (1950's) she has. All in all I'd say she had more fun making the furniture than she has had playing with it in the dollhouse.

It has held up well with normal play and is a very good value if youwant something for the child to both create and then play with.

I bought my 3 yr old a fold out wooden dollhouse and didn't want to spend $100 on furniture. She's 3, so the chances that she would break something are high.I decided to take a chance on this puzzle furniture and see what happened.I assembled it in about 4 hrs and used a hot glue gun to glue it together.Once glued it is very stable, but you will probably have to do some sanding on it to get doors to close on the wardrobe piece and some legs to not wobble etc... I needed more sandpaper than what they provided, but it was pretty good as is for the most part.I then painted each room setting a different color and added some little pillows and blankets that I put together in matching colors and voila!!!! Durable furniture that is inexpensive and perfect for little kids!If she breaks a piece or two, I won't be mad because the whole set cost below $20 to ship.If you feel creative and have a bit of time, I recommend this set.

I have 2 -1:1 scale dollhouses for my daughters. I bought this set thinking that it would be a perfect addition to the dollhouses. When I received the item I found out they were too small in proportion to the size of the dollhouses. I thought they were the same as those puzzle furnitures I saw at ebay. I did not bother putting them together. The vendor should have mentioned the scale. Most of the dollhouses being sold are scale 1:1.

I got this furniture for my daughter's 1:12 inch scale dollhouse. I thought what a find for 10 bucks! It got here pretty quickly, however, when I saw what the pieces looked like I knew that they were gonna be too small for a standard dollhouse doll. They were fun to put together with my daughter and we painted them which was fun also. She loves playing with them and they are sturdy once glued so the size doesn't bother me too much. I would just suggest that if you're looking for real dollhouse furniture though don't purchase these. The instructions are pretty self explanitory you match the numbers to find where the pieces interlock. Good indoor project.

I bought this do to my own little doll house project and thought it would be fun to paint the furniture any way i want. The design of the set is really adorable and once glued with tacky glue pretty sturdy.

I did have a problem with parts of the wood flaking or braking off while i was trying to assemble and had to glue them back on. So definitely a good idea to have tacky glue on hand. The set painted up perfectly though and was super cute.

After reading some of the reviews I thought I knew what I was getting into with this product and decided to go ahead and purchase it--as I was going to use it for a set design unit...However, this is not worth the $15 I paid for it.Once assembled (and it took 3 people 3 days to put it all together...and some of it didn't even fit!)it does not look good nor do some of the pieces even stand up on their own!I can't even tell what some of the things are!Definatly not worth purchasing!!!

This a puzzle and if you like them then buy this because it fun and cheap and you can stain it paint it just like wood because it is wood. I took all the peice apart no real plans show you how to put it together you look at the photo it comes with and you have a number system to follow if you get lost but once you get how they got together the it took me about 4 hours to get it punched out and put together. The painting and detailing take some time. Good luck if I was you I buy the dollhouse and this together and give a review for that.

We bought this kit to make a set of furniture for my seven-year-old's dolls. It is definitely a project for an older child or an adult, although my daughter enjoyed working with me on it. It took us many, many hours. The pieces come in four sheets and need to be punched out. A diagram on paper shows which pieces go together . . . for example, a little table has slots 1, 2, 3, 4 while the matching table sides/legs will have tabs numbered 1, 2, 3, 4. However, nothing is labeled "table, chair, etc." so it takes some guesswork and time to figure out how the pieces actually are assembled. Also, I would advise that you only punch out the pieces for the item you are currently assembling! All pieces were present and they all fit after a little work. We put them together using Aleene's Original Tacky Glue, painted them with primer, then added details with acrylic craft paints. Very, very cute in the end. Polly Pocket was happy . . . although her feet stick off the ends of both beds when she lies down. Fortunately, that little detail doesn't matter to my seven-year-old! You can't beat the price, and it is an enjoyable project to work on with a child if you have 10 or more hours to spare. The furniture won't come apart if it is well glued and heavily painted. It could be crushed by a careless foot, however.

This isn't really a toy and I sort of bought it by accident. I was rushing and didn't really read the description very well. My 4 year old has had a dollhouse for a few years and when we moved I packed up all the furniture in a box and never saw it again. She never really gave it a lot of attention to begin with but I did want to replace the furniture and plastic fisher price dollhouse furniture can get pretty expensive when you want to furnish every room. So I saw this for $12 and thought ok, I can do some assembling if it will save me $100.

First off, it is a puzzle. And I don't believe that it is intended to be played with. But if you buy some paint and glue and have about 5-6 hours to spend on it then it can become a pretty good toy. First I assembled it then I got some tacky glue (shop around for some craft glue that dries in a decent time) and glued all the joints. After that it was extremely durable, I was very surprised. Then I bought some craft paint, mixed my colors, painted it and voila!! 35 pieces of dollhouse furniture for less than $20 including glue and paint.

Now, if you dont glue this it wont even stay together if it's just sitting there. But after its been glued it is just as durable as something you'd buy in a store. In fact the only way to break it is if you actually crush it by stepping on it or something, which would break even a plastic toy. I'm not even a very crafty person and this was easy but it does take a lot of patience. The really cool thing is that you can customize it with any color you want to make it. I also sewed up some little blankets and pillows for the beds.

My daughter has been playing with this almost non stop since Christmas Eve and the only thing that broke is a chair that my husband stepped on. She actually plays with it more now than she did when we first bought it and had all the furniture that was designed for it.

It is very small though. The only dolls that fit it are polly pocket size dolls, which are about 4" maybe. But everything fits in the dollhouse very well. It's not too crowded so when she's playing she isnt constantly knocking things over. I believe we have a fisher price loving family dollhouse and I think the dolls that came with it were about 8" tall. Luckily my daughter has several polly pocket dolls and accessories so it all worked out well.

So if you want to furnish a dollhouse and save money this is the way to go. It does require some time and patience but its well worth it.
