i have been there for almost 10 years

I live out here and let me tell ya, this is one of the finest beaches in the country imo. however, its at its most beutiful when the summer is near its end. around mid august time. its when the waters is clearest, calmest, the temperature is cooler, and dolphis come out so much its not even funny.

@Mailboxbillthefirst You hate tourist? Your town wouldn't exist without tourist. Now with the oil spill your real estate values will be in a freefall, your resturants, condos, rentals, and services industries will follow when the oil hits.

Yet, you are stupid enough to proclaim your hatred of the very people that make your lifestyle possible. Don't worry, you won't have many tourist to hate before long. You are a complete and total idiot... Dumbass

Is there any Destin resident here? If there´s anyone here that lives in or around Destin, PLEASE, drop me a line as soon as possible. I spent two and a half weeks over there last month (from the 10th through the 28th of July), and I need someone to do me a huge, huge favour. Looking forward to hearing from a Destin resident.

My family and I just returned from our second trip to Destin. The kids loved it! We all had a great time and the people were really nice. I hope the oil doesn't ruin the beautiful beach.
