why does simple investors trend, without research assuming it goes up every year... i am a investor of businesses, and a trader to provide me with income, this is more liquid and i have more control, its one of those next door neighbor syndrome, they got a second home why not us.... house value only went up the way it did because people was trending inflating the price irrationally,, china investments are the next bubble to burst. lesson is the trend is your freind its knowing when to get out.

Buy-to-letters are doomed. One of the worst scams these guys use is to buy a house and put a DHSS claimant in there - then claim the maximum amount allowable in housing benefits. HOWEVER, housing benefit has now been capped, which means rents will be determined by the market (and, yes, I know not all buy-to-letters are dependent on housing benefit, but you'll still be affected by this trend). Secondly, interest rates have got only one way to go - up. You're all going to be bankrupt, ha ha!
